    - Your Electric Circuits were due today. We will not have any more time
    Come to work on them in class.
    - Students are working on electronic circuits for their final unit project. This is a requirement sheet that lists what they will be graded on:
    {Simple Circuit Project Outilne.docx}
    {Electricity Project Rubric.docx}
    - All circuits must have 4 electronic devices as a part of them. This could include 1.) a battery or batteries 2.) a light or LED 3.) A switch 4.) A motor or sensor and other things like this. Wires do not count and having multiple items of the same kind still only counts as one item. Things like wheels on a car or wings on a plane do not count towards the number of devices in your circuit because they are not electronic.
    - I will provide LEDs, resistors, switches and wires. The only parts you need to buy are things that are odd or unique to your child's project, such as a pump, motor or a specific sensor. I recommend buying toy cars from places like value village to get motors. You will get things like a battery holder, a switch and a motor in the same car for $3-5 instead of paying $3-5 for each separate device. Please don't spend more than $15-20 total on anything. I don't want anyone to think you have to spend a great deal of money to get a good mark!
    - If you don't know where to find a device, email me and I will try to help.

    EdVenture Students:
    Wednesday, June 13th Will be our MudVenture event. Please bring a towel and a full change of clothes (socks, shirt, shorts and underwear) and shoes that can all be thrown away.
    Over the next few weeks, we will be building our EdVenture obstacle course. Please bring in appropriate clothing, including shoes, shorts or pants, shirts and other things that you can get muddy. Please also bring a towel that can get muddy so you can dry off each day. I will provide garbage bags. There have been some ticks found on the property lately and although all of them have been dog ticks thus far, we want to be safe as we work. I ask that you send your children long pants to work in and that you check them when they get home from school on EdVenture days. We will be doing checks before we go in for the day as Well. Thank you for your help in continuing to make our school a safe place and the MudVenture obstacle course a continued success!

    The main focus for Grade 6 Social Studies is a study of Canada's Native cultures. We will explore what life was like before contact with Europeans and how life radically changed after European contact. We will also delve into life today with their successes and challenges. Our final test for the year will be on Thursday. It will be on Canada's trading partners. Tuesday class will be set aside for test preparation. The notes for studying are below:
